The WILL+PARTNERS DESIGN PRIZE was formulated on our beliefs and main theme of Wellness and Sustainability, a design prize that recognizes and rewards outstanding design skills found in Brighton University Students- specifically Final year M.Arch Architecture(Postgraduate) and Final year masters in Interior Design (Postgraduate). It focuses on our effect as human beings within our architectural environment through our behavior and wellbeing. One that enhances our quality of living and wellbeing through innovative and great design.
Winning this year's WILL+PARTNERS DESIGN PRIZE 2019, is Sara Rajkovic, a M.Arch Architecture student at University of Brighton, School of Architecture and Design. Exploring the fluidity of the landscape, Sara examined the fluctuating water levels necessary to maintain diverse and healthy coastal lands and was able to create a solution that benefited the ecosystem and environment both at a micro and macro level. She was able to achieve this while providing flood storage, controlling erosion and maintaining a sustainable habitat for wildlife and a variety of fish, in addition, encouraging richer agricultural harvests.
Below is a little of what Sara had to say in response to receiving the prize:
Sara Rajkovic, recipient of The Will+Partners Prize 2019
“Dear Will and Partners,
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude to you for making the Will+Partners Prize 2019 possible. I was thrilled to learn of my selection for this honor and I am deeply appreciative of your support.
It was my great pleasure to be able to present my project to you and actually meet you in person. I am very appreciative that you took the time and effort to look at my project that I was working on throughout the whole year and recognize all the hard work. This award means a lot to me as it opens up many opportunities, especially now that I am the end of my Master course and at the beginning of my career. Your generosity is going to help me achieve my professional and personal goals.
Thank you again for recognizing my achievements and hard work.
We wish Sara and all her colleagues the greatest success.
Our prize and ongoing integration and dialogue to the universities is part of the Will+Partner’s Academy.
